altered boxes and tins

I’m supposed to be cleaning my studio, according to my “to do” list. Have I ever denied being easily distracted?

I just downloaded these pictures and wanted to share them, just in case you bought my “Crafter’s Delight” kit in the UK and are looking for something different to do this weekend. I love how these turned out! I dirtied up the edges of the emellishments with some ink pads and got out the hot glue gun to create these fun storage boxes made from recycled cigar boxes and tea tins. I’m storing my chipboard letters and bits and bobs in them.box_1This box’s label peeled off brilliantly so I used it on top of one of my paper designs to keep it feeling authentically interesting. I love letting some of the original graphics or elements remain when I up-cycle, don’t you? box_2

box_4Did you know there are over 8 thousand pieces in this kit? So much chipboard it’s amazing! I fell in love with this kit all over again when I was making these boxes for my QVC appearance earlier this month. It’s an amazing deal with colors and patterns for every occasion.

Have a wonderful weekend!
