I think it’s a lot of fun to look for great color in very unexpected places. I was driving behind this garbage truck and was struck by the beautiful colors. I’ve broken it down into a palette at the bottom and you can see how balanced the palette is. Try it…look for color in very unexpected places but be careful if you’re photographing while driving…. ; 0

I’m so lucky to have this beautiful field to walk in, almost right across the road from me. I take Paisley back there so she can run through the weeds which she LOVES to do. I keep her on leash, of course, since she’s a Terrier and would take off in a heartbeat if she saw a squirrel.

I made her this sweet, colorful sweater from a reclaimed kid’s sweater from Goodwill. Since we live on a country road that is a popular cut-through for commuters, I’m always careful to dress her and myself in bright colors so we can be seen easily.
I’m still doing follow up work from the shows and am aching to get back to painting. I’ve got several new things half finished in my head and lots of ideas to get on paper.
It was so nice to see my friends at CHA and to have a chance to sit down at a couple of really fun dinners! Sizzix took us out one evening and it was so nice to get to know Kim and Chris of Scrappy Cat! Super nice people with a passion for crafting and design. Julianna and Brandy were fun to hang with and of course, my buddy Eileen Hull. We missed having the other Sizzix Licensed artists join us…maybe next time.
Have a great day!

Only Brenda could look at the back of a garbage truck and see a palette, LOL Rock on, gal. And I know just what you mean about aching to get back to work creating. I am still in follow-up mode and juggling work in progress when all I want to do is NEW.
